For additional protection, our coated bearings are covered in a thin, metallic layer that makes the bearing 75% harder than a hardened steel bearing. The coating, applied to both the inside and outside of the race, results in unmatched longevity and incredibly low friction. 

The coating protects the bearing from corrosion and contamination, and even in conditions where the bearing is exposed to massive amounts of mud, water or degreaser, the risk of bearing failure due to corrosion is negligible.
